Сны как клубки вьющихся змей,
Ползущих, ища свои норы.
Сны бога – знак рока для людей,
Несущий гибель и ссоры.

Зловещие сны, словно тень мглы
Рвутся на земли, страх порождая,
Обращают в болото поросшее мхом
Надежды богов, свою плоть обретая!

Судьба решена, пылает земля,
Сурт зубы оскалит, черный как ночь!
Ясень трещит, бьется змея,
Время богов – умирать!

Хаоса волны наливаются силой,
Вой Гарма, треск неба, вонь гнили!
Нагльфар по волнам везет мертвецов,
Смех Локки украсит гибель богов.

Древний Гаут трепещет пред снами
Сына. Бог страшит бога.

Впереди пустота, меркнут светила!
Мгла впереди! Гибель все ближе!


ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Dreams as if coils, twisting, of snakes
Crawling in search of their burrows.
The god’s dreams – doom symbol for the world,
That stands for perdition and quarrels.

Inauspicious dreams, like shade of the mist
Sweep over lands spawning the terror,
Turn into swamp grown with moss
All the gods’ hopes suchwise taking the form!

Fate has been sealed, on fire are lands,
Surt shall be grinning, black as the night!
Ash tree is cracked, the serpent pulsates,
Here comes the time for the twilight of gods!

Waves of disorder grow stronger and stronger,
Garm’s howling, sky’s crackling, rotten smell!
Naglfar is carrying the dead men on waves,
And Loki shall laugh at the twilight of gods.

The ancient Gaut is trembling ‘fore dreams of the Son.
Gods face each other!

Emptiness is ahead, stars growing dimmer!
Darkness ahead! Twilight comes nearer!
